Domestic abuse and violence are on the rise in our culture today. Unfortunately, our churches are no different. There is an estimated 1 out of 4 women* who sit in church pews who are living with abuse and violence within their homes.
As pastors, counselors, family and friends we need to have the resources to offer hope and help to both the abused and the abuser.
Reports and concerns about domestic violence have surged to the forefront in our communities and churches. Since the #metoo movement and the stories of hyper-headship have come to light, more victims than ever before are coming forward with stories of abuse in their own homes. Statistics reveal that "Every nine seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten."

Our Speakers:
Julie Ganschow, PhD
Julie is the founder and Director of Reigning Grace Counseling Center and Biblical Counseling for Women. She is certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC). Julie serves on the advisory board of The Fallen Soldiers March (FSM), and is a Commissioned Biblical Counselor (CBC) with The Addiction Connection. Julie has been involved in Biblical Counseling and Discipleship for more than 25 years. Julie is a gifted counselor and teacher, a frequent retreat and conference speaker, and a featured contributor in GriefShare. She is the author of numerous books, articles, and materials for biblical counseling and has co-authored a biblical counseling training course. Julie makes her
home in Kansas City, Missouri with her wonderful husband Larry. They have three children and 2 grandchildren.
Stephen Ganschow, PhD
Stephen Ganschow, Ph.D., has been with Reigning Grace since its inception. While he provides some long-distance counseling, his current role is strategic development, consultation, and teaching within Reigning Grace Institute as an instructor. Additionally, he serves as the Pastor of Counseling at Bethel Church in northwestern Indiana. He is a Level II-certified biblical counselor with ACBC, is certified by the IABC, and has various specialty certifications in a wide array of counseling disciplines. Additionally, he is pursuing an Ed.D. in Community Care Counseling, with an emphasis on pastoral counseling and the local church.

Friday: 6:30-9:00pm (Registration: 6:00-6:30pm) Saturday: 9:30am-5:00pm (Registration: 9:00-9:30am) (Lunch will be served on Saturday) No childcare will be provided This conference will be evaluated by ACBC and approved for continuing education credits for ACBC certified biblical counselors.
